Book Review: "Meet the New You" by Elisa Pulliam

I recently received a complimentary copy of the book "Meet the New You" by Elisa Pulliam from WaterBrook Press as part of the book review program on Blogging for Books.  I have been wanting to change many horrible habits that I have but have a hard time knowing how to get motivated for change.  In this wonderful book, Elisa Pulliam gives a 21 day plan for women to assess their lives and habits and make the changes needed to live a more focused life.  I love that she talks about priorities in life and uses a Biblical approach to do so.  As a Christian I look to the Word of God for guidance and the way she uses this approach to encourage good attitudes and changing habits is awesome.  If you are looking for a book to encourage new habits, make life changes, and changing your attitude about yourself and life in general then this book is a must read!!
I received this book for free from Blogging for Books book review program for this review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Book Review: "Love Without Limits" by Nick Vujicic

I was recently sent a copy of the book "Love Without Limits: A Remarkable Story of True Love Conquering All" by Nick Vujicic with his wife Kanae Vujicic from Water Brook Publishers.  Nick is an amazing motivational speaker and author who was born without his arms and legs.  Wondering if this would ever keep him from finding true love, this book is the story of how God brought him to his wife Kanae.  The story begins with how most of our love stories begin, a few failed relationships that we learn from.  He then discovers and meets the one God has specifically for him.  The book goes through the ups and downs and challenges of navigating being newly married to someone without limbs and the unconditional love the two have for one another.  This story is so inspiring and I love that not only did they tell their personal story, they also give many words of encouragement and wisdom and those waiting to find their one true love.

Book Review: "Espresso for Your Spirit"

I was given an opportunity to read and review an ebook copy of "Espresso for Your Spirit: Hope and Humor for Pooped Out Parents" by Pam Vredevelt from Multonomah Publishers.  When asked if I wanted to review this book, I immediately said yes!!  Coffee is one of my love languages and any author that can speak that language to me through encouraging words about parenting while discussing coffee is a winner to me.  This book has 28 chapters with witty, humorous, and Biblical encouragement for any parent who is needing a little "caffeine" in the form of words to help get you through your day.  I found the stories to be relatable and hilarious at times but also just knowing I am not alone in the daily tasks of parenthood and all that can happen in a day.  I recommend this book to anyone who is needing a dose of caffeine for your daily parenting in the form of short, encouraging chapters!!
