I recently received a complimentary copy of "Blind Hope" by Kim Meeder and Laurie Sacher from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing company as part of their book review program. The opinions below are my honest opinion of the book.
This is a wonderful and inspiring true story told through the voice of Kim Meeder about Laurie and a blind dog that rescues her in a way she was not expecting. Kim Meeder is the owner and operator, along with her husband, of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in central Oregon. It is a ranch that rescues abused and neglected horses and pairs them up with disadvantaged children all free of charge. The Ranch runs on the help of volunteers most of the time and Laurie Sacher was one of those volunteers. She now works there as a team leader, but before that she had an incredible journey at the ranch. Laurie had an aching and broken soul and reached out to save a dog in need. This dog, Mia, was a blind dog and taught Laurie all about unconditional and real love and trust. She also learned about the love of God and his grace for people who are not perfect.
